Liberace Studio has produced a series of tutorial DVDs in which Rob demonstrates painting, drawing and sculpture techniques focusing on figure, portrait and anatomy. He regularly tours students through the great museums of Europe, garnering from his extensive knowledge of the old European masters. Other influences include the works of Swedish Illustrator John Bauer, the marine paintings of E. November 2014 - February 2015 'Small Wonders' Group Show. Best also studied figure drawing and painting with Robert Liberace at the Art League of Alexandria. Rob teaches at The Art League of Virginia and holds workshops throughout the United States and abroad. Thanks for your interest in my work Artistic Resume for Mary Hickman. Robs work is also popular in galleries from Washington to Manhattan, and art aficionados. His subjects range from Marc Pachter, long-time Director of the National Portrait Gallery to President George H. Fine artist Robert Liberace is reviving the Renaissance. A portrait of his wife graced the cover of The Artist’s magazine in April 2007 and other works hang in statehouses, private homes, hospitals and even the National Shrine in Washington DC. Mianos working methods are derived from the traditions of the Grand Manner of Portrait Painting each oil portrait is hand crafted using the finest. He is a regular instructor and judge at the National Portrait Society’s annual gatherings, where in 2003 he received the Grand Prize Award at their annual International Portrait Competition. He is an honorary member of the American-China Oil Painting Artists League and a visiting instructor at The National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. Since then Rob’s accolades include being selected as a “Living Master” by the Art Renewal Center, where his painting “5th Circle” received first place in the Imaginative Realism category of their 2016 Salon. From there, with his passion for both art and baseball, he received scholarships to attend George Washington University, where he received his BFA and MFA. Robert is a classically trained portraitist and Lina is a professional illustrator. Born and raised in Rockland County, New York, Robert Liberace was introduced to the world of art through an old library copy of Hogarth’s “Dynamic Figure Drawing” and quickly became obsessed with drawing. Robert Liberace and Lina Chesak-Liberace are married artists living, working and teaching in the Washington, D.C area.
